In today’s United States, a sixty-five year old man is at liberty to self-identify as a sixteen-year-old girl. Across the nation within private, public, and non-profit sectors, some decision-makers agree with and support that man’s actualization. In a few of  those instances, “she,” with completely intact and fully functional male genitalia, is eligible to join with, participate with, share locker rooms with, change clothes with, and shower with teenage females. Those who disagree with the diverse, sameness, and inclusive participation of that person may very well find themselves labeled transphobic.

This scenario is, of course, a fictional dramatization of a possible occurrence in America. Taken to a greatly exaggerated and significant imaginary extreme, using some previously reported events in the public domain, the aforementioned tale may become the basis for an expanded futuristic probability. An old, white, Christian, English-speaking, European-American, male could declare himself a young, black, Muslim, Spanish-speaking, Indigenous-American, female. Any objection to that person’s self-identity might result in the “oppressor” designated a bigoted, racist, islamophobia, transphobia, sexist and subject to legal action for age, race, religion, and sex discrimination, if not violation of the “oppressed” individual’s civil and First Amendment rights of free expression.
