For the next couple of months, one cannot help but see, hear, and feel the nationalism all across the countries of Canada, Mexico, and the United States as soccer teams from forty-eight nations compete in the FIFA World Cup 2026. Nationalists are cheering and rooting for their preferred team. They are flying flags, wearing clothing, and supporting in imaginative ways. Recently, I observed a car with posters on its doors and the Jordanian flag covering the car’s hood celebrating team Jordan.

            There is nothing wrong with openly revering one’s country. Every nation-state has a history. Wise citizens build upon and add to their homeland’s greatness. Spiteful citizens focus on the negatives and efforts to split the team. As American nationalists, lets us put the full weight of our nationalism in support of Team USA and our country.
